Attend a Meeting

The Foundation meets monthly from September to June. There are also working committee meetings throughout the year. These are excellent opportunities to meet board members while learning about all of the activities of the Foundation. Please let us know if you would like to attend a meeting.

Volunteer for an Event

FBCS holds several events each year at which volunteers are needed and welcome. From our fundraising events to community programs, like our classroom Book Drive, there are many opportunities to get involved. There are also other volunteer opportunities, large and small, short and long-term that may speak to your personal interests and skills. We would love to hear from you!

Join the Advisory Committee

After you've learned more about the Foundation through volunteering or attending committee meetings, we hope you'll consider joining the Advisory Committee of the Board as an off-board member. This role entails spending a minimum of ten hours a year on Foundation activities. The Committee will have a joint meeting with the Board annually and its members are invited to attend regularly scheduled Board meetings as their time and interest permits. As an off-board contributing member of the Foundation, we are looking for expertise in the following areas: classroom/curriculum development, graphic design and public relations, event planning, photography, fundraising, and project and grant development. As an Advisory Committee member, you will be joined by founding and former Board members who want to continue their involvement with the Foundation.
