Second Community Book Drive

The Foundation for Bedford Central Schools is running its Second Community Book Drive! Help support the new BCSD elementary reading curriculum by donating specific new or gently used books for classroom libraries. Lists of required books are available (see below), but please donate all your outgrown children’s books for grades K-8. We welcome books for all levels.

The Book Drive is happening between February 11th and March 8th with many convenient locations available for drop-off and collection including all Bedford Central Schools. Check the Book Drive Flyer link to the left or look for Book Drive flyers throughout our towns and schools.

Several years ago, the Foundation's first annual book drive was a resounding success! Nearly ten thousand books were donated to enhance classroom libraries in all schools. Dozens of teachers from throughout the district’s classrooms came to upgrade and add to their classroom libraries. Hundreds of remaining books were delivered to MKES where students were sent home with armloads of books for their home libraries. Help us to make the Second Community Book Drive a resounding success for our students!

if you wish to donate to the book drive, donate to us online and send an email to bookdrive@foundationbcs.org that you want it directed to the book drive.
